There are as many ways to grow weed as there are growers.The methods to be used are chosen as much by personal preference as by the particularities of each garden.Since there's no "best" way to grow ,the only way to evaluate procedures and methods is to go by the quality of the end product ,the weed itself .Most indoor spaces can easily be converted into a garden.Closets,cupboards ,"spare" rooms,garages........, anywhere safe from intruders and unseen from the street.Keep pets well away and before starting desinfect your chosen space to protect it and your plants from possible parasites (ants,beatles etc.) and mould ; at this point it's a good idea to cover the floor with a tarpaulin ,or sheet plastic to protect it from spills etc.
