Transonia are an electronic dance\trance\breakbeat duo composed by Matteo Curcio (22 yo) and Luca Baldini (23 yo), from Milan, Italy.

They started playin' together about four years ago, with a guitarist and a drummer performing Matteo Curcio on the bass and Luca Baldini on organ\synth, moving theirselves into the psycho-dance pop in a pure british style of the early 90's (The Charlatans,Inspiral Carpets,Spacemen 3...).

Then Matteo and Luca left the band developing their interest in dance music.
After setting up a personal MIDI-digital recording home studio, they've recorded a demo DAT.

Working with several kinda stuff, samplers, analog and digital synth and computer sequencers, they're inspired by the classical teachers of the modern electronic scene: from Orb to Aphex Twin, from Kraftwerk to Orbital, from Shamen to KLF, from Autechre to Hafler Trio, from Chemical Brothers to Daft Punk.

Joining together live acts with continuous studio sessions, they've recorded an 8 tracks 72 mins cd, @, with the complete edits of their earlier material, from deep-trance to breakbeat through intelligent techno.

The ideal setting in listening Transonia music is the LiveAct, still uncommon in Italy, that let us create new musical situation in any gig, thanks to a creative use of the mixer, synths, samplers and outboard.

A strong and psychedelic light show is fundamental for a good Transonia gig.

A live session last up to two hours, and can be followed by DJ Stecco/DJ Face, famous italian DJs known for their strong mix of Chicago/Detroit house and Electronica/Ambient/Trance/Experimental music.

Transonia are always looking for promoters/clubs for dates and contracts.

Playing techno music, in italy, is a death sentence. People can't understand that electronica is a musical revolution like what jazz and blues was, one century ago.
Whom that can't understand this are the same people that defined jazz as a bunch of noises without a future.
Electronica, both in italy and abroad, is a growing scene. It's the only musical genre where the experimental attitude is still alive, creating something fresh and original, without the need to copy from the past.
Where anyone, with a few bucks (quids) and a computer, a sampler and talent can create something new.
It's time to waste those fucking preconceived imageries.

Open your ears.

Open your mind.
